DC Ranch

Nestled in the foothills of the McDowell Mountains, DC Ranch is a prestigious master-planned community that seamlessly blends rich history with modern luxury.  Originally a working cattle ranch in the early 1900s, E.O. Brown homesteaded a section of land near the only perpetual spring in the McDowell Mountains after Fort McDowell closed. He eventually acquired that spring, which piped water all over the ranch and still produces water today, in addition to the Silver Leaf mining claim attached to it. Brown then bought the DC brand and earmark from Dr. W.B. Crosby, who had it registered in 1885, and shipped the first load of cattle to California in 1910. Throughout his life, Brown added to DC Ranch and the next generation of his family brought it up into modern times. Today, DC Ranch spans approximately 4,400 acres and comprises four distinct villages: Desert Camp, Desert Parks, Country Club, and Silverleaf. Each village offers a unique ambiance, from the family-friendly atmosphere of Desert Camp to the opulent estates of Silverleaf, known for its Mediterranean Revival architecture and exclusive 50,000-square-foot clubhouse.
